Founded by Certified Reading Specialist and Elementary School Teacher Tracy Corfias, Wonderland of Learning Virtual Academy brings over 20 years of teaching experience to children all around the world.

Lessons blend reading, math, science, and creativity — helping kids love learning while developing strong academic skills and confidence.

Founder, Wonderland of Learning Virtual Academy

For 5 years, I have had the privilege of teaching children from around the world through Wonderland of Learning Virtual Academy. During this time, I’ve supported more than 700 students in 12 countries with reading, literacy, comprehension, ESL, and academic confidence. While many families could participate in paid programs, others could not — and it became clear that there were children who needed learning support but had no access to it.

I understand what it means to struggle with reading because I lived it. I spent years feeling behind and doubting myself, until the day I finished Alice in Wonderland all on my own. That moment sparked the confidence I had been missing — and it inspired the name Wonderland of Learning and my mission to help children feel capable, confident, and proud of their learning.

My late father was an English professor and later a college president. He believed that every person deserves the chance to learn and succeed. He created programs that helped low-income students graduate, and he inspired my belief that educational access should belong to every child.

My late husband Ron shared the same passion for helping young people. Before he became sick, he supported families, helped teach classes, and dressed as Santa every Christmas for the children. Ron and I also taught ESL online together to students in Japan, something he was very proud of because of his Japanese heritage.

This mission continues the work and love we both poured into supporting children.

To expand this work, I created the Wonderland Global Literacy & ESL Academy, a mission dedicated to helping children who need support the most — including children in shelters, foster programs, low-income families, and international students needing ESL and reading support.

Every child deserves the chance to learn.
Through this mission, we provide reading, literacy, comprehension, ESL support, and project-based learning to children who would otherwise go without educational opportunities.
